Behind a brass door on Meridian Arcade, The Gilded Lantern pours classic cocktails under a ceiling of painted fans. Dress as you like; the room does the rest.

Rye, honeyed vermouth and two dashes of orange bitters, stirred long and served up.

Gin, green chartreuse, lime and a cool cucumber syrup, shaken hard over ice.

Quartet
A piano, a double bass, brushes on a snare and a clarinet that knows every old tune.
Friday
Masquerade
Masks at the door, a dance floor under the great fan, and a secret menu for the night.
Saturday
Grand Hour
From ten until eleven, the bartenders mix the house list at the price of a single.
Reserve a table
Tables for two to eight, held for fifteen minutes. The bar itself is always first come, first served.
